Alice In A Plastic Wonderland

Production Description

A new show for Young Audiences

Alice In A Plastic Wonderland follows the character of Alice a school student who falls asleep in a science lesson and plunges into a nightmarish dream of talking plastic.

Alice is every child and is played by every member of the cast at different points. Alice journeys like a discarded plastic carrier bag through a waste management centre, a landfill site, a river and finally into the mournful ocean meeting talking plastic, talking swans and  jellyfish until she is eventually chased and swallowed by the great pacific garbage patch and put on trial for plastic pollution at the bottom of the ocean..

The piece uses comedy, projection, puppetry, live music and a classic five act structure to engage, entertain and to raise awareness of the rising and very real threat to our planet of Plastic Pollution.

Target Audience: 6-11 years old (school years 2-7) This piece is very suitable for transition events to secondary schools and to accompany or as an entry point to any Global Citizen and Environmental Project Work
